PandaKrab Bible

Support Pandakrab:

Members of PandaKrab are expected to provide response ships or do eyes to ensure the safety of the fleet.

Response Ships

Response ships. should be undocked on the E8-432 Keepstar at all times for random threats that appear. Links to response fits can be found in this discord post here.

Recon/Eyes

Recon/Eyes is the best protection against hostile whaling threats–even more important than response ships. A guide to getting started with doing eyes can be found in discord here.

Pre-Krab Checklist

Read The Rules

Become familiar with the rules. Further questions may be asked on Discord.

Create A Second Overview for Mobile Cyno Inhibitors:

Create a 2nd overview for Mobile Cyno Inhibs on both your cyno and krab characters.

Miscellaneous

  1. Ensure you have the mandatory minimum Navy cap booster 3200s in your cargo hold
  2. Ensure you have at least 60k Isotopes in your fuel bay
  3. Rorqs: fill any spare room of your fuel bay and fleet hangar with Heavy Water
  4. Ensure your cyno is filled with max ozone (~500 units)
  5. Ensure you are in yellow fit before you jump into your krab system
  6. Set your reppers to auto repeat off and cap chargers to auto reload on
  7. Ensure you joined Coalition Mumble and the proper sub-channel.
  8. Make sure your mic works by talking locally in a subchannel (do not globally mic check)

Beginning to Krab:

  • Scan all the signatures in the system you plan on krabbing in and roll any VL/Thera/Uni wormholes.
  • Assure that you are in yellow fit, and jump to the cyno/deep tether bookmark.
  • Never cyno into the middle of an anom or a safe.
  • Once in system, always dock and undock so your ship is full cap.
  • If you are in a super, double click in space and ctrl + space to begin the tether + cap process.
  • Pre type CCC in fleet chat with what system you are in, and what ship you are krabbing in on your force recon character: EX. CCC TDP Nyx

Force Recon and Ping Placement:

Rorqual Cyno Position and Bookmark:

  • Orbit your Rorqual with your Force Recon @ 200km
  • On your cyno character, left click on your PvE ship. In the selected item box of your UI, right click “orbit” and click “set default orbit”. In the box, type in 200,000 and hit enter. You can now right click > orbit 200km on your cyno character.
  • When tackled, listen to where your FC wants you to place your cyno
  • Bookmark a random spot as you orbit <anom> < 3 letter code> <today’s date> (Ex: Nocx ABC 12/24) in the Insidious Bookmarks folder and set the expiration for 2 days.
  • Delete the bookmark when finished mining
  • For Moon Mining, title the Bookmark <Planet# Moon#> <today's dates>. Ex: P9M12 12/24 set the expiration for 2 days. Delete the bookmark when finished mining

CRABqual/Super/Dread/Carrier Cyno Position and Bookmark

  • Orbit your PvE ship with your Force Recon @ 200km
  • On your cyno character, left click on your PvE ship. In the selected item box of your UI, right click “orbit” and click “set default orbit”. In the box, type in 200,000 and hit enter. You can now right click > orbit 200km on your cyno character.
  • When tackled, listen to where your FC wants you to place your cyno
  • Bookmark a random spot as you orbit under CRAB Pings and title it according to how many anoms/crabs you’ve run that day, and that day's date. (EX: Cyno1 12/25). Set the expiration to 2 days.
  • Delete the Bookmark when done

Running CRABs:

Dreadnaughts, Carriers, and Supers

  • Follow this guide and anchor CRABs in ratting anomalies to farm extra ticks, avoid Fighter aggro, and farm escalations for extra money. Always be in yellow fit and anchor a mobile depot when you begin the linking process. * Always make sure to right click the mobile depot and “use fitting service” on it. This will make it easier to refit to yellow fit.

CRABquals

Only anchor CRABs inside mining anomalies with 2 Rorquals and a drone bunny in order to abuse PANIC. Running with any ship other than a Rorqual is pointless. Follow this [guide to be added soon] to use CRABquals effectively.

Hitting The Mining Anoms:

Subcapital Mining

  • Warp your Rorqual to the mining perch
  • Warp your Rorqual to the center of the mining anomaly or moon grid and begin mining with your subs.
  • Drop your Wetu, lock it, and wait for it to anchor
  • Put your reps on it to ensure that if any neutrals suddenly appear, they do not just kill your Wetu. Once the Wetu is anchored, you are clear to siege and begin mining.
  • Add all subcapital mining characters to your Rorqual’s watch list. This will show which mining ships are being attacked and need repairs if they get tackled

Solo or Multiple Rorqual Mining

  • Warp your Rorqual to the mining perch
  • Set your “warp to” to 2500m by left clicking on a rock.
  • In the selected item box at the top of your screen, right click the “warp to” button and set the default distance to 2500m.
  • Warp to your desired rock and slow boat closer to the rock so you’re within 500m of the rock (the closer the better).
  • Double click directly behind your Rorq and your ship will rapidly decelerate as it tries to stop and turn around.
  • Once you are within 500m of a rock, drop your Wetu and wait for it to anchor
  • Once the Wetu is anchored, you are clear to siege and begin mining.

NOTE: PANIC does not work without a rock being locked, so always lock a rock in order to PANIC.

Responding To Threats While Krabbing:

Small Gangs & Boosh Fleets:

Always have your WETU/mobile depot open by right clicking your WETU/mobile depot and “use fitting service” on it. This will make it easier to drag/drop your Excavators into your WETU and refit to yellow fit.

Rorquals:

  • Have “CCC <system name> Rorqual” pre-typed in fleet chat before you get tackled
  • Keep subcapital miners within 2500m of your Rorqual
  • If a neutral enters system, try to warp your subcaps to the fort/keepstar before neutrals land
  • Always scout the fort beforehand and never warp off to an unscouted fort.
  • If any subcapital miners get tackled remote repair your barges/exhumers
  • PANIC if you cannot hold against the enemies damage and inform the FC you have PANIC’d
  • Empty the entire contents of your subcapital miners into your Rorqual fleet hanger.
  • Right click on your Rorqual and store your subcaps/exhumers in your ship maintenance bay.
  • Send your pre-typed CCC message in fleet chat
  • Use drones/sentries to harass light tackle off of you
  • Inform the FC that a smallgang is on you
  • Provide the FC with the number of enemies and ship types and wait for instructions. Eg. 10 Moas and 1 Flycatcher

Command destroyers may try to boosh (use a Micro Jump Field Generator) your subcapital miners or excavator drones off and kill them. A Carrier may cyno in right next to you and attempt to boosh you far away. If any of these happen you need to:

  • Immediately press PANIC
  • Send your pre-typed CCC message in fleet chat
  • Inform the FC that Command Destroyers have booshed off your Excavator Drones or Subcapital Miners
  • A Carrier has booshed your Rorqual away from the anomaly
  • If a Carrier successfully booshed you, you need to immediately start capping up back to jump cap

Dreadnaughts:

  • Have “CCC <system name> Dread” pre-typed in fleet chat before you get tackled
  • Immediately begin locking ships up and applying webs/scrams to what’s in range
  • Shoot and kill enemies
  • Send your pre-typed CCC message in fleet chat
  • Provide the FC with the number of enemies and ship types and wait for instructions. Eg. 10 Moas and 1 Flycatcher
  • Take drugs only if you need to, or if enemies are applying heavy neut pressure.
  • If you get capped out, pre-heat your hardeners AND reppers.
  • Inject capacitor using your 3200s and spam the repper and hardeners as soon as you inject cap.
  • Repeat the above as you need to rep.
  • IF YOU DO NOT NEED TO REP DO NOT CAP INJECT. If you are not capped out, you need to rep as normal and keep your cap topped off.

Large Whaling Fleets:

When a large whaling fleet has been reported and the fleet goes yellow:

  • Have “CCC <system name> <ship type>” pre-typed in fleet chat before you get tackled
  • Immediately stop boosting and refit to yellow fit.
  • Rorquals need to have a rock locked in order to PANIC
  • Right click your mobile depot and “use fitting service” on it. Leave this window open as this will make it easier to drag/drop your Excavators into your mobile depot and refit to yellow fit.
  • Look out for mobile cyno inhibitors being anchored on grid. If you see them being anchored, shout that there’s one anchoring, and kill it. Rorquals will be unable to kill the inhib unless multiple Rorqs are present.

If you get tackled, immediately inform the FC with the following information:

  • What is Tackling you
  • What system are you in
  • How many people are on you and what are they flying
  • Is there a cyno inhib anchoring or has one already been anchored

Rorquals + Dreads:

  • Ensure you are yellow fit and begin to siege red.
  • When you become bubbled, immediately global shout on comms and and follow the script from above.
  • Post your pre-typed CCC message in fleet chat
  • Immediately take your drugs and begin boosting once you have refit to yellow fit
  • Rorquals need to anchor a mobile micro jump unit and put the Excavators in a WETU.
  • Lock the MMJU and rep it until it onlines. Do not aggress anything at all.
  • Activate the mobile micro jump unit and immediately jump to any cyno beacon or emergency cyno.
  • If you are unable to activate the MMJU and remain bubbled, smart bomb the bubbles on you and haze things with combat drones.
  • If FAX’s land on grid, do not try to activate a Mobile Micro Jump Unit.
  • If a mobile cyno inhib is anchored, the FC should tell you to light your cyno at 105km away from your ship.
  • If there is no cyno inhib anchored, warp your force recon to your perch that is 175km away
  • Then warp to 0 on your rorq/dread and light at 0.
  • Rep as much damage as possible and note of your cap.
  • Cycle reps when you lose 20-25% of your HP (depending on repper type) to prevent over-repping
  • Do not to get your cap boosters on the same reload timer
  • Heat your resistance modules if the damage is too high.
  • Use your Ancillary repper when your cap starts to get low/you start dropping into low shield/armor.
  • If you get capped out, pre-heat your hardeners AND reppers.
  • Inject capacitor using 3200s and spam the repper and hardeners as soon as you inject cap. Repeat this as you need to rep.
  • IF YOU DO NOT NEED TO REP DO NOT CAP INJECT. If you are not capped out, you need to rep as normal and keep your cap topped off.
  • Rorquals should only PANIC when you are in structure, or about to be in structure.

Rorquals:

  • If Supers or Dreads land on grid, PANIC when you are yellow boxed.
  • When you press PANIC, inform the response fc of the time of the FIRST PANIC’d Rorqual.
  • Once in PANIC immediately desiege, do NOT resiege. Make sure you siege red
  • The PANIC timer will appear by hovering your mouse on your capacitor on your screen.
  • Start running your cap boosters and get back to jump cap asap.
  • Make sure you are repping any damage, especially if there is a cenotaph/deathless ship on grid.
  • Jump out to safety if any opportunity presents itself.

Supers/Carriers:

  • Ensure you are yellow fit and begin to siege red.
  • Once you become bubbled, immediately shout on comms and follow the script from above.
  • Post your pre-typed CCC message in fleet chat
  • Immediately begin boosting once you have refit to yellow fit
  • Smartbomb the bubbles that are on you and haze things with your fighters.
  • If a mobile cynosural inhibitor begins anchoring, sacrifice every fighter you have to kill it
  • If dreads are being reported, swap to Anti-cap fighters.
  • Run your cap boosters and get back to jump cap ASAP.
  • Immediately jump out if any opportunity arises.
  • If a mobile cyno inhib is anchored, the FC should tell you to light your cyno at 105km away from your ship.
  • If there is no cyno inhib anchored, warp your force recon to your perch that is 175km away. Then warp to 0 on your carrier/super and light at 0.

Post Krab Save:

Never warp yourself off by yourself. Only warp with the fleet or jump out when the FC instructs you to.

Collect your WETU no earlier than 2-3 hours after the battle (Rorqs only) and scout the system beforehand. Hostiles will stay cloaked to pop you trying to get your drones. When you scoop the wetu, make sure to also repair and repackage the wetu or else if you use it again, it will instantly die rather than being reinforced (Rorqs only).

Restock any cap boosters, destroyed wetu’s/mobile depots, mobile micro jump units, and drugs that may have been consumed while you were tackled.
